I am passionate about equipping leaders and solving problems in all levels of an organization. I have been an educator for 15 years and a coach for the last 7. I've worked with a team to plan and lead Aspiring Coaches Academy for teachers across the district looking to move into the coaching role. I am trained in cognitive coaching to support teachers as well as other staff and administration. I coach math and science teams through cycles of continuous improvement using data to maximize their effectiveness. I also create and deliver training and coaching for staff on the technology programs we use and how to best integrate tech in the classroom. I have a Masters degree in Instructional Design and love to analyze needs and help solve problems on an organizational scale.

Research Experience For TeachersLouisiana State University May 2015 - Jul 2015Baton Rouge, La, UsThe RET is a position I was accepted for to experience what research is taking place in various fields of science at LSU. I took this research and brought it down to a middle school level for my students. In doing so, I developed a supplement to the current state curriculum- making energy connections clearer to teacher reading the curriculum (physical science) so they can then help their students make these connections. I wrote multiple lesson plans, developed a website to showcase the lessons, power points, and interactive infographics that correlate with the lessons. I surveyed 6th grade science teachers across the state to see what resources they really needed and I am working on a collaborative website for these teachers- somewhere they can browse lessons, websites, activities, etc by Louisiana specific GLEs that other teachers in this state are actually using.Lessons and Activities created during this position can be found here: https://sites.google.com/site/laenergyconnections/home
