Served as a senior engineer on the Storage Efficiency team, engaging regularly with engineers across multiple adjacent teams in several time zones to execute on plans for storage efficiency at the exabyte scale; helped to drive organizational process improvements and maintain a focus on long-term thinking, as well as serving in a mentorship capacity.

Fostered a practice and culture of machine learning from the ground up, helping a traditional company of approximately one hundred employees to transition into a data-driven space and utilize the resources available to them to chart a strong course for the future. Assisted in mentoring and in team lead communications, working closely with both the director of development and with senior leadership to define a plan and communicate it clearly to all involved stakeholders. Helped to smooth transitions between business and development teams, and to coordinate activities across silos in the organization.

Developed back-end frameworks in Scala to process Terabyte-scale geospatial data and align it to other sources of information, correcting it geometrically and analytically with hand-built algorithms as part of an ever-evolving real-time map.

Managed research systems, infrastructure, and applications for an average of sixty computational researchers, ranging from hardware acquisition and repair to computational optimization of trillion-body algorithms.

Pioneered development of next-generation mapping technologies with REST-based microservices intended to handle Terabytes of geospatial data on an hourly basis; coordinated testing and verification of our APIs from start to finish.

Supported over 7,500 students, faculty, and staff with computer issues ranging from data management to physical hardware repair; assisted in the deployment of over 7,500 Chromebooks to bring the district up to a one-to-one ratio of students to technology.
