“The world is your oyster.”A saying that is so old, but so true. Being charismatic I thought I would end up in radio or become a host of a tv show, but I have always had a niche for software development since senior year of high school. I stumbled in on my high school teacher using HTML and CSS to create a website for his business. I was amazed about the things that he was able to do with the resources he had. I sat with him that day and I knew then that software development was something I could see myself doing.I took a deep dive when I took my first course as a freshman in college and I went down as far as the rabbit hole goes. I learned then that I was more comfortable with Cybersecurity. Learning how to identify threats or different SIEMs was something new, but I felt as if I was right where I needed to be. I love working with individuals who are just as passionate as I am about Cybersecurity. Brainstorming, problem solving, figuring out the solution is a reward that is very satisfying.Looking back years ago as a high school senior, I could have kept walking and not paid attention to my teacher but the opportunity was there and I seized it. Whatever opportunity is presented for me I have learned that it may be for the better. The world is my oyster so I am in the position to take whatever opportunities life has to offer, because it could very well change my life.
