My primary role working at Hill AFB is as Product Owner for the A-10. In this position I have provided both technical and managerial guidance to team members on 100+ projects. I took charge discussing software design with our pilots, and integrating on those designs to further improve them. The highlight of this position has been the opportunity to create and run a new hire training program to teach developers, testers, and systems engineers the skills they need to immediately add value to our project. In all, I have trained more than 30 new hires. This training fast-forwarded the training of each new hire by about 9 months, saving more than $4 million in training costs. I received Lester L. Lyles award for development of this training program.I was responsible for promptly investigating software issues pilots identified. It was crucial that pilots had answers and fixes to software issue in a timely manner. This required a deep understanding of the software systems and the tools necessary to investigate said issues.As a systems engineer I wrote numerous documents detailing software improvements made to the A-10 software systems.I additionally fixed 300+ issues with safety of flight test procedures, saving 100+ hours of trouble shooting for future testers. Many of these issues required a great deal of research to understand how the test should be ran to match software requirements.I dabbled in some C++ while in this position and would love to dig deeper into this interesting and challenging topic.

I worked as a intern in a Construction Engineering Group. I was tasked with spearheading the creation of the groundwork for 3D laser scanning knowledge. I decreased the laser scanning learning curve by developing a training plan to be used by future employees. To help others gain greater insight into 3D laser scanning, I demonstrated laser scanning capabilities by documenting multiple case studies. I gained proficiency in Faro SCENE software in 1 week of self-taught study. In addition to 3D laser scanning, I published a scope of work and cost estimate for future office remodels. I held a Department of Energy (DOE) Security Clearance while working at Naval Nuclear Laboratories.

Draper, Utah

My responsibilities included working as part of a team to validate tooling used to produce medical devices that in turn help others improve the quality of their lives. My main responsibility was to implement changes done on tool drawings into the company's system. I was also involved in writing protocols and other documents to validate machinery that is used to produce medical devices. I enjoyed working somewhere that makes products that really make an impact in others lives. Although I may not have seen that impact directly, knowing that someone's life down the road is benefiting from the work that I did helped bring more meaning to my work.

Rexburg, Idaho

My main job responsibilities included supervision of lawns, i.e. cutting, detailing, general cleanup and maintenance of lawns. I also worked in the main store/shop cleaning and preparing lawn mowers to be fixed by mechanics. I was a critical part of making sure that things were clean and organized so the mechanics had the optimal working conditions for fixing lawn mowers and other equipment. I was responsible for the pickup and delivery of customer's broken lawn mowers to be fixed. This required good navigation skills and the ability to drive a trailer.
