CHROMA, a cross-disciplinary creative studio co-founded with June Canedo & Sienna Fekete. As a collective, we are intentional in our efforts to diversify our industries and nurture a cultural consciousness that centers womxn of color. Chroma offers strategies for innovative programming, visual content, immersive experiences, effective partnerships, and community empowerment.

-Event and workshop planning and implantation with a focus on media, art & design careers and college readiness-Served as an advisor and mentor throughout students’ creative and technical development-Demonstrate responsible communication through ongoing outreach to students, participate in ongoing training around pedagogy, strategies and ongoing program needs

-Produced engaging visual content and conducted live coverage of programs and events -Works with editors and reporters, assisting with reporting, publishing and distribution of content on Fi2W website-Conducted research on potential panelists, ran preliminary interviews for selection process, identify target audiences-Helped in planning and production of Latino Vote event held at The New School in collaboration with The Center For New York City Affairs, Milano School of International Affairs, Al Jazeera and other big media outlets

-Co-produced viral digital video campaign discussing progress and cultural preservation in Oakland, managed all social media accounts, conducted interviews, edited an OMF recap video-Drafted presentations/pitches for potential sponsors to support and fund campaign -Produced community events to leverage attention and support from community members and residents of Oakland

-Worked closely with Vice in their offices on prospective documentary-Assist production staff in developing relevant stories for television, film, online streaming and other platforms-Provided Arabic language skills and translated several hours of footage, edited video clips

-Intake and processing of clients, answering phone and handling the office calendar, setting appointments and meetings -Conducted research on country conditions and political situations in countries of applicants/refugees-Fill out immigration applications for clients, including applications for asylum, family petitions, etc-Edited declarations in support for application of political asylum

-Worked closely with reporting team on producing arts and culture stories-Interviewed guests/sources, researched topics for podcasts, provided comprehensive fact checking skills-Helped with recording sound for pieces in the field, learned story structure, voicing and digital production
