Maitri is an award-winning non-profit, (www.maitri.org) empowering thousands of South Asian survivors of domestic violence in the Bay Area. In the last 33 plus years, Maitri has helped change the conversation, laws, and beliefs on gender equality and familial violence in S. Asian community and the mainstream at all levels (county, state, and national).I serve on the Finance, Strategic Planning and Governance committees of the Board at Maitri.

During my tenure at Cypress, I led global teams of approximately 100 personnel which were responsible for Corporate Accounting, External Reporting, Technical Accounting, Revenue Accounting, Sales Channel Finance, International Finance, Shared Services, and Finance Transformation. As a key partner to the corporate executives, I participated in M&A deals, enabled strategic transactions, led automation and process improvement initiatives, and drove resolution of complex accounting matters. I provided audit and accounting advisory services to technology sector clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to start-ups that had operations in North America, EMEA, and APAC. As an advisor to my clients, I developed deep expertise in US GAAP, SEC reporting, internal controls, and risk assessment. By partnering with my clients, we created value in the capital markets through various IPO, M&A, systems implementation, technical accounting, and SEC reporting projects.
