I currently manage our team of external developers, working directly to brief and manage the build of all of our new features. I am also the primary point of support for all our API users. I now work directly with our director to plan, develop, and expand the Widgety platform.

My responsibilities on the editorial side of the business carried over from my previous position and still included writing some travel guides and bespoke copy for our clients, however I also became an account manager for some of our key clients and projects.I took an even more active role on the tech side of the business and my responsibilities increased ten-fold. I was manager for our team of external developer and started working with our director on plans to improve our platform.Some of my achievements in this role:• Design and management of a major upgrade to our existing Cruises API• IT Management of our embeddable Cruise Search• IT Management of 12 new cruise integrations• Development of 21 new cruise integrations through FileMaker• IT Management of the rebuild of CruiseSouthampton.com

I became a full time member after graduating, and my list of projects and responsibilities expanded on the editorial side to include bespoke copy for some of our clients, as well writing our monthly newsletters. This is on top of the existing project of writing travel guides that I worked on as a freelancer.During this time, I also started working on the more technical side of the business. I took this like a fish to water and worked on a range of projects such as:• Building a new website for the company• Helping redesign and maintain in-house FileMaker databases• Bug testing and reporting for our Widgety platform.

I first joined Widgety (then iCruise) as a freelance writer during my last year of uni as part of the editorial team. Though we wrote for a range of topics related to travel, my primary job was writing travel guides to be available alongside daily itineraries on our website CruiseSouthampton.com.
