Currently: I manage the art collection, with its 400 + photographs, paintings, prints and sculpture. In 2013,I curated the art for the new office space, with three floors, the lobby and the roof. I had 50 new images printed and mounted, and brought in 7 artists with sculpture, neon, mosaic, paintings, LED pieces, and murals. I catalogued and labelled the entire collection, and currently update and maintain it.I brought the print and video archives up to date, assessing all newspaper, magazine and online articles, books,and films about Burning Man and adding them to a database; also created an archive of Regional Events materials. I currently archive all print and online articles and tv/radio features via the Meltwater Feed. I curate art exhibitions, selecting themes, artists and artwork, hanging the art, doing the publicity, arranging openings, etc. Examples: KC Welch Masks, Flowers and Collages, Mauro Ffortissimo Deconstructed PIanos, Bruce Barton Surrealist Collages at Chez Poulet; The Anxiety Show at Project One; The Paintings of Lee Harvey Roswell and The Art of Android Jones at Blowfish Sushi. I also procure artwork for events and venues. I manage and hang art collections.I organized and wrote a chapter on LED artists at Burning Man for Teddy Lo's book Planet LED:http://www.oroeditions.com/book/planet-led . I curated, edited and co-wrote Jewelry of Burning Man in 2015: http://karenchristians.com/images/pdfs/JewelryofBurningManPreview.pdf. I also deisgned and curated the exhibit based on our book, at the Fuller Craft Museum in Boston, Feb.-June 2017.
