LAEDA is a not for profit community economic development organization dedicated to assisting emerging entrepreneurs and small business owners to start and grow their businesses in Camden, Burlington, Gloucester, Atlantic and Cumberland counties in New Jersey.LAEDA offers a comprehensive array of business education and counseling services to support the startup and growth of minority-owned small businesses. LAEDA business education opportunities take the shape of live short-format workshops to self-paced online training to live short-term and long-term training courses. Business counseling services are offered on all manner of business topics via in person consultations, e-mail or video conferencing.Over the past 32 years, LAEDA has graduated 838 students, which has resulted in 603 businesses and 1,313 jobs being created.LAEDA is the host organization for an Small Business Administration Funded Women's Business Center. The LAEDA Women's Business Center was established in 2015 in recognition that women entrepreneurs face unique barriers to starting and operating small businesses and accessing capital. The WBC opens doors of opportunity by providing aspiring and existing women business owners who are interested in starting, strengthening or expanding a business with access to necessary resources including quality financial and business education.
