In this role, I wrote articles for various clientele on a variety of subjects, ranging from technology, environmental degradation, chatbots and the social cost of carbon. I conducted in-depth research on each subject, gathered quality evidence in support of the topic, and used appropriate referencing (Harvard/MLA/Chicago styles).

South Korea

In this role, I was responsible for teaching Korean students between the ages of seven to sixteen. I planned and taught four sixty-minute lessons daily. I prepared classes using both school provided curriculum materials as some of my own personal teaching materials. I focused on improving students writing, speaking, and grammar skills, especially with regard to essay writing.

This role entails consolidating and publishing a fortnightly newspapers, conducting interviews with career driven alumni and professionals for editorials, and attending various careers fairs and events and writing articles for Redbrick.

Some of our work here included turning specific stories and issues in the wider West Midlands community into specific policy agenda to present to the Mayoral elections in May 2017. I also helped to co-facilitate an all-day summit (Saturday 19th November) where leaders in the West Midlands area shared their top issues and voted on a specific civil society agenda for the Mayor. We then developed an organising strategy for persuading business, journalists and politicians to back these priorities.

This role included organising a successful 4-day diplomatic conference hosted at the University of Birmingham in January 20116 with over 100 international students from across Europe. My role further included establishing dialogue and communications with other United Nations Committees in other universities for partnerships. I also organized contact information, visa, and accommodation information for other upcoming Model MUN conferences

My responsibilities included leading accommodation tours for university applicants and their parents, while also assisting with the University’s Undergraduate Open Days in April.
