Our ‘Asia Practice’ is focused on private equity, M&A, technology and IP rights with especial emphasis on China through our offices in Shanghai, and in Japan through our business and legal consulting in Tokyo. Most of the transactions we have advised -and currently advise- involve 3 or more jurisdictions, and therefore it has been critical to adequately combine-coordinate different corporate and tax legal systems (especially when several rounds of investment are being considered). Our ´Latin American -and Chile- Practice´ is largely connected to natural resources and infrastructure projects. Based in Chile we advise numerous foreign invested projects, including the largest mining projects, the largest energy projects -including IFC and WB projects-, the first CO2 neutral project of Chile, infrastructure projects (the largest ports of Chile, the largest highway systems), oil and gas pipelines, and also conservation and ecosystem services projects (i.e. for The Nature Conservancy and WWF).
