-Support key staff members by producing costings, off-shore orders, shipping and import orders, ongoing stock management, all to meet customer contract requirements. -Manage Stock and forecast planning; exporting and analysing sales data, forecasting and planning for stock level management. -Offshore production: Source fabric and trims for off-shore and local manufacturing, negotiate costings, manage approval samples, maintain production schedule, supplier relationship management, place orders, process import documentation and update final costings. -Liaise with the office with regards to suppliers pricing, credits and maintain accurate records. -Operate and maintain the system to track product production timeframes, freight Collaborate with other departments as necessary to meet customer requirements, to take advantage of sales opportunities or, in the case of shortages, to minimise negative impact on business. -Direct and support the compilation and analysis of technical source data necessary for product development. -Maintain and develop positive business relations with suppliers' key personnel involved in, or directly relevant to, production activity. -Report project plans progress and results. -Supporting team members to achieve DIFOTIS. -Customer order and fitting data entry and management for key projects. -Forecast Customer demand for garments and provide recommended stock orders. -Analysing Sales Data to forecast demand and recommend stock purchases. -Provide required data/information to the sales team and Supply Chain Manager.

 Managing the supply of manpower requirement for each category of terminal operations in Colombo International Container Terminals (CICT) as the head of the operations department Dealing with outsourced companies and contractors  Representing the company and the CEO at daily operations meetings  Overlooking the operations (Span of Control- Assistant mangers directly reported and indirectly nearly 700+ staff) Calling for weekly analysing & review meetings with the participation of all the assistant managers and supervisors Contributing as the head of operations in annual contract preparation work Implementing processes for newly added operational functions  Verifying the invoices of the department prior to the approval from the CEO Issuing approvals for the non-commercial fleet movements

 Monitoring shift-roster patterns of the operations and coordinating with the CICT operations departments for the daily and weekly operational requirements Implementing an E-roster system to allocate manpower and taking further steps to improve the E-roster system as an ERP Participating in daily operations meetings (with all the departments of CICT), weekly analyzing and review meetings, annual target planning meetings Contributing in deciding operational strategies and special employee payment patterns  Preparing monthly reports and forecasting (Fuel consumption/ Monthly KPI achievement progress/ Monthly yard shifting etc.) Reviewing and adjusting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in a timely manner aligning with the ongoing status of the operations  Approving of leave applications of the operations staff including supervisors

 Overlooking day to day shift operations of the assigned shift by arranging manpower for all working categories according to the standard manpower allocating ratios (Rubber tyre gantries, Prime movers, Wharf controllers, Machine Operators, Gate tally-men etc.) Directing & supervising the team leaders to get the preferred operational outcome and monitoring the yard operations to ensure smooth operation (from vessel to yard and from yard to vessel) Attending daily shift operations meetings conducted by the CICT shift duty managers as the officer in charge of the shift and participating in weekly analyzing and review meetings Conducting toolbox meetings regarding the failures in previous shifts and guiding the methods to ensure no repetition of errors. Discussing and getting feedback from the employees regarding the operation to arrange any further process improvements  Supervising special operations (container reworks, recovering and handling damaged equipment due to accidents, special container transportation such as Dangerous Cargo) Managing the operations performance to achieve given KPIs Preparing the daily and other operational reports (Fuel consumption /Daily equipment allocation /Accident & incident reports etc.) Approving of leave applications of the relevant shift employees
