As a recent graduate from University of Toronto with a HBSc, I am exploring opportunities in the healthcare field. My recent research project was about assessing undergraduate biology student perceptions on learning in a virtual environment due to COVID-19 under the supervision of Professor Hinic-Frlog at the University of Toronto Mississauga. As a current Research Assistant at Meta-Lifeline, the first chronic based food bank in Ontario, I am conducting research to assess interventions that would support low-income individuals with high blood sugar, blood pressure and cholesterol. As an individual passionate about healthcare communication and health literacy, I completed a minor in Biomedical Communications and some of my selected achievements are: - Curated a healthcare e-communication project which was an animated public health module discussing and explaining rheumatoid arthritis using H5P. - Curated a best evidence-based research paper highlighting up-to-date information about Rheumatoid Arthritis regarding signs and symptoms, diagnostic procedures, and available treatments. - Adapted to curate a Plant Monitor system utilizing Heltec ESP32 Microcontroller, temperature sensor and capacitive soil moisture meter at home without prior experience with electronics.Aside from my academic achievements, I am an avid painter often creating landscape paintings or Islamic calligraphy.
