As an Antimicrobial Pharmacy Technician working in secondary care, I collaborate closely with the Antimicrobial Pharmacists to support key initiatives aimed at improving antimicrobial stewardship (AMS). My role involves contributing to antimicrobial audits, C. diff reviews, antimicrobial data analyses, and providing AMS education and training, I have also had the opportunity to lead on various projects.With antimicrobial resistance (AMR) on the rise, my work in secondary care is increasingly vital. If we do not act now, the future of antimicrobials is at significant risk, with serious consequences for public health. I am proud to be part of the Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) programme, working to protect these essential medicines for future generations.
