🚀 I left academia to launch a biotech startup in consumer-based genetic testing for animals. The mission is to democratise genetic screening for our beloved pets so that we can anticipate their healthcare needs. I wanted to transfer the technology and scientific knowledge available in research labs and make it accessible for the benefit of animal health.🧬 Prior to that, I spent more than 15 years in academia where I specialised in molecular genetics and developmental biology. I worked at research institutions in the USA (NYU School of Medicine, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Institute) and France (Institut Pasteur).💪 I've been accompanied by the Genopole biocluster as a laureate of the Shaker incubator and Gene.iO accelerator programs that were critical for the evaluation and piloting of our business development, commercialisation, financing and communication strategies.My strengths include resilience, creative problem solving, quality management, risk assessment and operating on a budget.If you'd like to know more about my original scientific work and experience, please visit my orchid profile : https://orcid.org/0000-0002-1997-4150
