I created the Thinking & Doing Skills Center because my mission is to help adults, children, teens, and their families identify how ADHD is impacting their lives and then work with them so they are thriving and not just surviving daily life. I’m a former teacher and educational consultant with over a decade of professional organizer and certified organizer coach experience, as well as, a mother who has raised two boys with ADHD who are now grown, happy, and successful men.As a life-long educator, my goal is to help ensure students have a positive school experience because that is the foundation upon which the rest follows. If a student constantly struggles and doesn’t receive needed support, there’s a much higher risk of depression, apathy, and constant struggle. I specifically choose to use a strengths-based coaching approach to identify a client’s intrinsic strengths in order to more easily and quickly reduce frustration, learn and apply new techniques, and achieve set goals.Coaching is a partnership designed with the clients’ strengths, values, goals, and dreams in mind. I believe that each person is creative, resourceful, and capable of achieving what they want and need with the right support.
