Using data collected by the NIH-Funded BETTER Trial, I am analyzing how varying arms of care utilize alternative pain management strategies, like deep breathing, and if using those strategies reduced the participants pain severity over time.• Analyzed pain management strategy utilization and its impact on pain severity over time across treatment groups using Chi-Square tests and linear models in R• Presented at the Spring Undergraduate Research Forum (SURF) in April 2024

In a pair, I developed an interactive R Shiny app to explore how outliers affect regression lines, allowing users to add data points and see the resulting changes in the line and the correlation coefficient.• Computed regression lines using ggplot2 and dplyr to allow user to customize graph aesthetics and outliers• Published app for users with elementary statistical knowledge to understand the impact of outliers on regression lines

Using data from the General Social Survey, I replicated a correlation matrix on the relation between mental health and well-being from a source article using proprietary code.• Created and transformed variables in R to replicate a correlation matrix and descriptive statistics table • Authored a paper that documents the methods used to replicate the project and compares the replicated results to the findings of the original source article
