Serves as advisor and counselor for youth residents ages 12-21 with special needs as well as typically developing in the areas of academic development, behavior management, health and fitness in a trauma informed environment. Additionally playing an active role in the building of Building of a strong resident driven program that includes youth participation in dorm governance, activities planning, youth apprenticeships and opportunities for youth to explore individual expression and personal achievement in an innovative model for youth in state custody in a congregate setting in accordance with DHS/DJJ licensure and ORS requirements.

Responsible for managing and engaging residents with mental disabilities within the shelter's Rites of Passage Program aimed at preparing youth 18-21 to transition into independence utilizing trauma-informed best practices within an apartment style living model. Conduct weekly group sessions utilizing concepts of cognitive based therapy to encourage individual growth and success in a comprehensively intergrated, trauma-informed environment.

Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of early intervention activities within classrooms for persons with disabilities. Including planning, implementing, and supervising early intervention program that is developmentally appropriate for the classrooms in accordance with the policies and philosophy of the Center.Work with families with children to develop and implement an individual education plan Individual Education Plan (IEP) for children birth to five.Coordinate Inclusion Program for large children's program that includes diverse population. Conduct staff trainings on inclusive teaching strategies and education on various disabilities.Conduct differentiated instructional strategies with children ages 3-5 in an inclusive setting.Design professional development program and provide technical coaching to teaching staff in accordance to the Creative Curriculum guidelines.
