Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
CurrentResponsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing a wide range of machines that are used in the leather industry. Assist with design plans and implement alterations to ensure safety, to improve operator ergonomics, and to increase machine productivity. Perform installation, maintenance and repairs to water, air, gas, and sludge discharge lines. Handle the fabrication of equipment modifications to upgrade systems. Conduct a wide range of repairs in accordance with OSHA regulations. Perform welding, cutting, threading, and grinding on materials such as black iron pipe, stainless steel, copper and aluminum. Troubleshooting and repairing electrical and plumbing issues throughout the plant. Order parts needed to make repairs on machines and other equipment. Perform cost-cutting modifications that improve safety and boost machine productivity. Troubleshoot systems accurately and repair breakdowns quickly to maintain operating efficiency.
