Laith oversees the strategic growth of Mori and is responsible for the engineering, supply chain, legal, regulatory, and corporate affairs teams. Laith earned his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Bioengineering from the University of Maryland, and earned his Juris Doctorate from the George Mason School of Law. He attended bioengineering graduate school and law school simultaneously—graduating from both in three years. He currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Patent Law at Howard University. While at Finnegan, Laith litigated high technology patents in the medical device, pharmaceutical, and consumer electronics spaces for companies including BMW, Philips, AstraZeneca, DSM, Ajinomoto, and others. He also spent time in with VCs and incubators in the US and Middle East helping startups generate and plan their IP portfolios.He continues to keep an active pro bono docket, representing asylum seekers and parties in civil and criminal proceedings. In his spare time, Laith volunteers at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, working to engage youth about astronomy, space, and physics. www.mori.com
