As an English coordinator I help develop the English curriculum, which ranges from pre-beginner to proficiency. I manage and support the English language teachers across the board by providing guidance, lesson planning support, feedback and professional development opportunities. I guide English teachers in implementing the curriculum in English 24/7 in their classrooms. I also conduct routine formative and summative assessments to monitor student learning and the meeting of educational objectives.

Teaching K-12 English students, (aged 3-17) at the Forenex residential and day camps as well as at school. Plan and design lessons focused on thematic units that cover reading, writing, grammar, speaking, and listening skills in English. Create dynamic and interactive games to reinforce grammatical concepts and vocabulary. Prepare students for the PET exam. Develop weekly written and oral assessments to gage students mastery of the material covered. Evaluate language and social development of students over the course of the camp.

As DoS I managed the academic side of Forenex's camps at distinct campsites, including Pozuelo Uclés, and then Coruña. I was the overseer of their intensive oral courses in English, a PET and FCE exam preparation course, as well as art, Drama and technology workshops. I also coordinated curriculum lesson plans and class creation and ensured that the overall running of both English lessons as well as English-language workshops were done effectively. I served as a point of contact for parents regarding academic matters and evaluated the teachers development throughout the course. I led daily staff meetings while fostering collaboration and teamwork skills. Lastly, I conducted inventory of necessary materials and provided a final evaluation to Forenex about the camp, its teachers, its logistics, as well as ideas for improvement in future.

Teaching kindergarten students in English through the use of thematic projects and the incorporation of synthetic phonics and the Reggio Emilia methodology. Fostering cooperative learning in order to focus on particular areas of development including, cognitive, physical, artistic and emotional learning. As an ESL Teacher and Language Assistant, I created dynamic lesson plans and curriculum to impart to students ranging from 6ºEP to 2ºBachillerato, including those students who were doing professional formation courses (FP). I monitored their development throughout the year, administered speaking exams and aided in the fostering of their English skills. As a freelance English Instructor, I tailored to the needs of specific clients and ensured that their objectives were met, while simultaneously preparing them to partake in practical and everyday conversations.

As a freelance instructor my responsibilities included creating dynamic and informative lesson plans to teach non-native speakers to read, write, understand and speak Business and Standard English. I served as a research assistant to collect both physical test and survey data. To insure inter-rater reliability the research assistants practiced data collection with the principal investigator, each other, and with volunteer participants whose data were not included in the analyses. Research assistants participated in quarterly refresher training and met with the principal investigator weekly in order to discuss study progress.During my time as a research assistant I performed database entry and literature research, interpreted Spanish, performed transcription, served as a physical trainer and provided assistance to my mentor.
