Shad Fellow @ Tmu
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
I had the privilege of being selected as a SHAD Fellow and attended the award-winning enrichment and entrepreneurship program, SHAD, which brings together top youth from across Canada every July. Students go through an intense experiential learning program that empowers them to become change makers. During my time at SHAD, I engaged in a rigorous and dynamic curriculum designed to challenge and expand my capabilities. The program encompassed engineering challenges, design activities, and risk-taking exercises, all aimed at fostering innovation and critical thinking. Additionally, I had the opportunity to attend lectures delivered by professionals across various fields, gaining insights into cutting-edge technologies and industry trends. A highlight of the program was competition in a design challenge where my team and I addressed affordable and reliable green energy. We designed and won 2nd place for Connected Winds, an innovative modular wind turbine blade manufacturer.Earning the SHAD Fellow designation connects me to a lifelong network of distinguished alumni, including Rhodes Scholars, Top 30 under 30 award winners, Loran Scholars, and influential leaders across various sectors in Canada and globally.
