I assist with project engineering for a large portfolio of K-12 commercial, industrial, and government solar, energy storage, and EV projects. I analyze project constraints, evaluate site conditions, and perform constructability due diligence. I develop the engineering scope of work, determine optimal locations for PV arrays and electrical equipment, plan trench/bore runs, and identify appropriate interconnection methods. Additionally, I work closely with local jurisdictions to ensure that all specific requirements are implemented effectively.I also perform analyses of utility rate tariffs and generate annual financial projections for various states within the region and system operators. This enables me to optimize project-specific design deliverables, such as solar and battery system sizing, equipment selection, and layout configuration. I utilize tools like AutoCAD, Google Earth, Helioscope, and PVSyst to iteratively maximize yield and minimize costs efficiently.I work closely with professional engineers, AHJ plan checkers, project managers, sales teams, vendors, and accounting departments. I also provide support to subcontractors and inspectors on RFIs and assist the O&M team by evaluating system performance. My collaboration with the construction team helps gather and apply lessons learned regarding design optimization, constructability, and bid-level designs. Additionally, I provide technical support to the development, procurement, construction, and O&M departments.Finally, I ensure that the project scope can achieve the guaranteed savings and performance metrics that Veregy is contractually obligated to deliver. I also support Project Engineers I and II as needed to help grow the team’s overall capabilities, contributing to the success of each project and the development of the team.
