- 1 of 14 young individuals, ranging in age from 16- 23 from across the country. The council's role is to advise and support the Y-USA CEO, Executive Team and National Board on emerging issues, opportunities, programs, priorities and strategic decision-making, with a goal of ensuring that the Y remains relevant at the local, state, national and global level.- Council members will represent their home communities, local YMCAs, and the full spectrum of the Y’s youth development and engagement programs, strategies, and opportunities.

The West Des Moines Human Rights Commission appointed me as a non-voting youth ex-officio member to serve one term for 1 academic year to provide a voice to the youth population of our community.

Introduced potential educational policies and programs for the Iowa YMCA Youth Cabinet as part of the youth policy agenda for the year.

- Selected as 1 of 2 students out of an organization of 100 youth representatives to serve in this role.- Acting as the link between Iowa Youth Congress and the ICYD. The ICYD is comprised of agencies within eleven state departments that represent the major public systems addressing the needs of Iowa’s youth (ages 6 to 21).- Presenting updates on behalf of the Iowa Youth Congress at quarterly ICYD meetings

- 1 of 100 Iowa high school-aged youth to participate in a year-long program which provides students the knowledge, abilities, and direction to advocate and enact change in their communities and at the state level for issues affecting youth. It also provides a more hands-on learning experience in the proposal, debate, and passing of bills.- Skills: public speaking, problem solving, and political debate in multicultural leadership settings

- Help with advertising and the production of the media teams to help progress the organization through social media presence.- Analyze, plan, develop, and execute program marketing through market analysis, metrics, research, and advertisement- Analyzing website, social media, and organizational data gathered from various tools and spreadsheets. Looking at various trends and deducting conclusions as to possible ways of improvement.- Work with a team to program STEM•E apps (member app / game app / map app) for STEM•E

The Civic Innovators Fellowship is designed for young leaders who have innovative ideas to solve community issues – and want to start building them now. The Fellowship gives you the knowledge, network, and funding to pursue your passions and launch projects that change the world. It is an intensive three-month leadership program that trains thousands of high schoolers each year in the fundamentals of personal development, systems thinking, and civic literacy. In addition to receiving training, members of the CU Community receive mentorship and direct financial investment to scale initiatives that catalyze human flourishing around the world.
