State of Indiana’s client benefit applications, cases, claims and eligibility determination have been maintained using Legacy systems. As part of IEDSS implementation project all the applications are being migrated to a new system called IEDSS (Indiana Eligibility Determination Services System). As part of this implementation, the legacy data is being migrated to the oracle database, which is the back end for IEDSS. The process of migration involves processing of legacy data through multiple layers by applying various business rules and data validations. The data migration is doing using Informatica 9.5 and Oracle PLSQL. Responsibilities:• Designed and developed Informatica ETL processes to extract data from Legacy Systems and apply business rules before loading data to new transaction system.• Designed extract specification documents, which are used to request data from Legacy team.• Created COBOL copybook files (.cpy & .cbl files) using the extract specification templates and created source definitions in Informatica.• Built Informatica processes to validate the incoming data by applying various data validation rules. In addition, Identified commonly used data validation rules and created User defined functions and shared/reusable transformations for the same.• Built the error handling process for data that failed validation.• Reported the error / failed records back to Legacy team using Crystal reports.• Conducted peer review of design documents and code.• As a part of developer testing, crosschecked the conversion data using the frontend application screens.• Responsible for managing the unit and system testing and assisted users with acceptance testing.Environment: Informatica 9.5 (Windows server), Oracle 11.0, MS Access Data mapping tool

ASPEN is a State of New Mexico Department of Human Services Integrated Eligibility determination system. 'Conversion' is a module, which provides functionalities like loading external Agencies/Federal Government data into ASPEN through extracts ASPEN based on different frequencies as per the requirement. The entire ETL process consists of source systems, staging area, Data warehouse and DataMart. Responsibilities:• Involved in gathering requirements, created design documents, and mapping documents. • Used ETL, Informatica Designer to design mappings and coded it using reusable mapplets. • Created and manipulated source definitions, target definitions, mappings, mapplets, transformations, re-usable transformations, etc. • Involved in performance tuning, Code Reviews of mappings, transformations and sessions to optimize session performance. • Tuned the Mappings for Optimum Performance • Created reusable transformation and mapplet based on the business rules to easy the development process and responsible for document the changes. • Worked with various transformations like Aggregator, Expression, Filter, Source Qualifier, Joiner, Lookup and Stored Procedure etc to incorporate the business rules into the mappings. • Created different source definitions to extract data from flat files and relational tables using Informatica PowerCenter. • Played a major role in coordinating Admin and DBA team for data exports, imports and migrations between diff environments. • Created mappings, which include the Error Handling Logic implemented to create an error.• Extensively involved in the analysis and tuning of the application code (SQL) • Used Informatica debugging techniques to debug the mappings and used session log files and bad files to trace errors occurred while loading.Environment: Informatica 9.5 (Windows server), Oracle 11i/10g, PL/SQL, SQL Developer, Toad, Advanced Query Tool, Windows 2000

Bridges is a State of Michigan welfare project changing the multiple system environments using Java and Oracle 10g database. This project will support for the intake, registration and eligibility determination systems for food assistance, cash assistance, medical assistance and childcare assistance.
