Lakshay has been working and volunteering in emergencies and crises, freelancing as well as via different organizational settings. He seeks to leverage his zeal for resolving contemporary social issues and actively contribute toward the upliftment of the deprived strata of society. His passion and skills augmented throughout 4 years of experience in the social development and advocacy sector. He has successfully handled several campaigns and projects; e.g. seeking concrete comprehensive actions from the governments and industries as a part of the international climate justice movement at Fridays for Future Delhi and other climate organizations, and educating rural women on menstrual hygiene in EkMahina, to name a few.He has been a part of the inception of awareness and relief campaigns with YouWeCan, Goonj, GoI, etcetera, and has played managerial roles in several others like the Nawaazish crew. He is proficient in strategizing and developing campaigns, liaising with groups & organizations for fruitful associations, fathoming the root cause of the problem, and attempting its redressal. He also has an upper hand in planning events, workshops, and meetings, maintaining databases of volunteers and reporting policies and facts on related subjects. The drafting of demands on climate change policies from the Government of India is another feather in his cap for the Global Climate Strike of November 2019. Lakshay robustly worked in riot-affected areas of North East Delhi to assess and report testimonials from the survivors with the remedial provision of essential materials in association with the local authorities and NGOs in 2020. Recently, as a coordinator managing 60+ volunteers, he worked on a report on problems faced by migrant workers of Madhya Pradesh, along with it finding their present situation to give out concrete data and policy suggestions to the government and help the migrant workers in a little way during the process by helping in distress cases that came across during the survey. The findings of the work have been published by Newsclick, The Hindu, and other prominent platforms in the country and outside.
