I have continuously led and served diverse international development organizations since my first overseas assignment with CARE in Ecuador. They have included non-profit (CARE, PADF, Glasswing), for-profit (Banyan Global), and the US government (Peace Corps Paraguay country director). This journey includes 23 years overseas in Central Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Central and South America. Top-secret security clearance. • Established agreements with the Ministry of Agriculture for an instruction and extension program in rural agricultural schools; and with the Ministry of Planning for the creation of a National Youth-Volunteer program modeled after the Peace Corps. • USG in-country spokesperson for the UN Women’s HeForShe Campaign to advance commitments toward achieving gender equality, representation in media campaigns, and speaking engagements.
