Lalin St Juste is a multi-faceted Haitian-American performing ritualistic sonic alchemy. A self-taught musician with a knack for melting hearts, Lalin's music revolves around themes of exploration of identity, ancestral planes and lineage, the power of rewriting narratives, and black queer joy - all while creating a signature and undeniable mood.She is the front woman of The Seshen - a band that has shared stages with Hiatus Kaiyote, Little Dragon, Thundercat, Tune-yards and more. The Seshen has been performed at KEXP, Outside Lands and has recieved support from NPR, KCRW, and BBC6, among others. Their music can recently be heard in Apple’s Invasion trailer and numerous TV shows and films.In 2022 Lalin as a solo artist has been played on Morning Becomes Eclectic (KCRW), has been featured in Bandcamp Weekly, SF Chronicle, KQED and more. Lalin is a grant recipient of the Gerbode Foundation, YBGF, ZooLabs, and recently the Haiti Cultural Exchange.
