I’m a 17-year-old who kicked off my digital journey at the start of the Covid lockdown. After getting turned down for tutoring roles at 13 ( I can't blame them lol, my achievement at the application was "Completed 8th std successfully", that's how new everything was ), My obsession with books led me to start a book blog on Instagram in 2021. That led to some amazing friendships and collabs with top publishers like Random House and Simon & Schuster, plus a cool gift box from Instagram.I eventually pivoted to freelance marketing in general and dabbled in various skills including copywriting, marketing strategy, and more to see which I liked the most, Turns out I love bridging relationships between customers and brands by crafting the customer journey that prioritizes long-term relationships over short sales funnel campaigns ( Including it when necessary )I was burnt out from not keeping a proper work-life balance along with managing my school studies ( I was 15 at this time ), which led me to take a break to reflect on the crazy journey that unfolded, along with analyzing my relationship with work, money and more, realized some healing work was needed :]In the meantime, I gave my try at a project aimed at breaking the stigma surrounding mental health in India, which taught me a lot of lessons before wrapping it up.- Back to the present yay - Completed 12th, I am in my first year of university pursuing a Data Science major from IIT Madras. I also got offered the role of Notion Campus Leader by Notion ( My long-time favorite, a big win ). I am also writing a weekly newsletter where I share my lessons and reflections, do check it out What happened to freelancing endeavors you may ask? At this point, I am swamped with university work, trying my best to be consistent with my newsletter. I may start working again once I establish a good study-life balance. Yes, this may be the most shocking thing to read on LinkedIn when it's so glorified to have more side hustles than you can manage and work 18 hours a day to be normal, but no, I learned to prefer good balance while also exploring my passions. My earlier tagline "Making Mental Health Resources available to everyone in India" is still always on the back of my mind, and will always stay as an area I wish to contribute to.
