Over the last year I have been privileged to work with families in crisis and be one of the public faces of the Department of Children and Families. During this time, I have interacted with children and families while assessing for and implementing services to ensure child safety.My current job is an extension of my time as a teacher when I worked with students and their families who needed additional assistance. My classroom was a safe environment for learning and sharing life stressors. My decision to work with the Department came from my love of my students and a desire to help them in a different and more meaningful way.Because of my professional background, I am skilled at content delivery, planning, and evaluation with students of various ages, ethnicities, emotional and physical needs, socio-economic backgrounds, and academic availability. I am also adept at working with families in crisis, empathizing with their circumstances and moving a family toward a safe outcome. I enjoy instruction, I enjoy a challenge, and I enjoy building relationships.
