About Lamar Campbell

In my current role, I serve as an area talent scout in the Pacific Northwest, focusing on the development and facilitation of programs for incoming players. My work emphasizes retention and onboarding, partnering with key stakeholders in strength and conditioning, nutrition, medical, and mental development to enhance the well-being and performance of both corporate leaders and elite athletes. Core responsibilities include goal-setting, engagement opportunities, character evaluations, and maintaining a network of relationships to ensure high-level results and team engagement. Before joining the Seahawks organization, I was the Vice President of Engagement for the Chicago Bears. In this multifaceted role, I demonstrated strong business acumen by creating and managing initiatives in DEI, brand development, community service, entrepreneurship, corporate partnerships, self-image, media relations, degree completion, and career transition. I spearheaded team trainings, keynote presentations, consulting, and educational workshops for athletic teams, parents, corporate teams, and administrators, focusing on individual well-being, performance, and emerging team needs. As a brand steward, I played a crucial role in growing and protecting the organization's reputation and principles.A significant highlight of my career was being selected as part of a five-person search committee, including the Team President and Chairman, to select the new General Manager and Head Coach of the Chicago Bears. I also co-chaired the implementation of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiative team and served on the NFL Player Engagement steering committee, where I influenced strategic decisions on various organizational projects and initiatives. These roles required a deep understanding of organizational dynamics, strategic planning, and stakeholder management, showcasing my ability to drive business success and foster a culture of excellence.Prior to my tenure with the Bears, I spent four years at my alma mater, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, as the Assistant Athletic Director of Engagement. In this role, I collaborated across campus with athletics and staff, focusing on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, as well as personal and professional development. I created programs that emphasized the mental, emotional, physical, and overall wellness of student-athletes, always prioritizing people over processes.
