During his 15 years as CEO and Chairman of the Board, Lamar led the company as it grew to serve more than 1 million clients in 300,000 families; oversaw more than $18 billion in invested assets and $52 billion in life insurance in force; and chartered one of the first banks in the country focused on service via the Internet.
