About Lama Sawan

I am a passionate, driven and bi-lingual communications and public affairs professional, who possesses a love for story-telling and delivering impactful comms strategies for Janssen in the GCC (Gulf Corporation Council) region. Guiding me on my quest is Janssen’s long-standing commitment to doing work that is rooted in the belief that “patients are waiting.” I gain my energy on a daily basis from or by knowing that I am doing work that positively impacts the lives of patients and caregivers while inspiring meaningful change in the region. I began my career in Human Resources. Over the years, I've had to opportunity to gain a deep understanding of organizational transformation, change management, diversity and inclusion as well as employee engagement and culture. After an exciting two decades spent in HR, I made my move into the world of communications and public affairs. An authentic and energetic, I operate with a heart-centred and mind-based approach underpinned by empathy and logic. Personally, I’ve been intrigued by all things related to building emotional intelligence and discovering the value each person can bring to the table. This pursuit, coupled with my aspiration to help people discover their calling, has led me to become a life and career coach, by which I focus on harnessing the power of mindset and leveraging optimism to drive performance and fulfilment. As someone who adores Arabic literature, I’m always on the lookout for interesting Arabic poetry and Arabic social media content.
