JL started professional life in physics research followed by ten years at the European Laboratory for Particle Physics (CERN) in Geneva, Switzerland. Several stays in research institutes in France, Germany, Spain, Brazil and the USA allowed him to acquire a view of R&D and international cooperation. José's desire to explore ways the industries transforms technology into products motivated him to move into product development, automation, machine learning, cyber security, and divers types of quantitative risk, including financial risks. JL’s another passion is to pass knowledge on peers and non-experts. He teaches innovation strategy, quality & risk management in business schools. In 2012, José obtained a Risk Management Certificate and joined Euro Risk Ltd. (Zurich), a recognized consulting firm, as a Business Partner.
