IT Procurement Agent for Boeing's Shared Services Group (SSG). Responsibilities included supporting RFPs and cost savings initiatives. Primary contribution was in support of an enterprise-wide IT services consolidation effort for over $550M in spend. Other projects included sourcing for IT components for a Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV). I also negotiated a $1MM contract for a fiber optic ring used to support wireless internet capability on a Boeing campus. During my internship, I received a full-time job offer effective after my senior year of college. The summer of 2008 was a critical time to work at Boeing. I'll never forget watching the first ever Boeing 787 Dreamliner being built!

Following a 3 week Study Abroad program in Europe, I joined Kraft Foods' Global Supply Chain Group near Chicago as a Procurement Intern. At Kraft Foods, I supported a sustainability and cost savings initiative, ultimately re-engineering the solid waste recycling procedure at many Kraft plants in North America. We identified pilot plants for each food category. I participated in audits at Oscar Meyer in Madison, WI, and Post Cereal in Battle Creek, MI. To complete my internship, I gave a presentation to Kraft Leadership. Following my internship, I was offered a chance to return the following summer for internship employment.
