This 4 Month Internship opportunity was provided to me by Acciona where i was placed on the Puhoi to Warkworth Project led by NX2. Paired with some of the most experienced and talented engineers I was able to learn things that no lecture room could provide. Some of the many tasks that I undertook as an intern include;* Preparing Permits for tasks which involved confined spaces, live services, Digging, Trenching etc.* Tasked with organizing and carrying on-site inspections with Designers to release Witness & Hold points.* Used surveying tools and programs like Trimble Juno to create As-builts of newly laid services* Tasked with Organizing and Quantifying Material for site e.g., Concrete orders, reinforcement bars, Ducting etc.

* Worked as a sub-contractor for Tradestaff undertaking common labouring tasks on the Northern corridor improvements in Albany, Pacifica, etc.*Worked in the precasting yard where I poured concrete retaining walls alongside my team which provided me with great insight regarding design implementation.* Developed an appreciation for on-site health and safety as rigorous procedures needed to be adhered to. * Installed cable barrier systems along concrete retaining walls which helped me familiarise myself with common power tools.* Working daily within a tightly knit team helped develop my skills as a team player and the soft skills required to reach a common objective together.

* Aiding primary and intermediate students with mathematics and general school work.* Assisted in the organisation of activities for students.* Roles also involved the general supervision of younger students.
