Fanny Lam brings 18 years of business expertise in finance and operations management, as well as nonprofit experience, to APA Family Support Services (APAFSS). In May 2022, she assumed the role of Executive Director of APAFSS. Since then, she has dedicated herself to advocacy work and has led and participated in several coalitions focused on promoting health in the community, particularly for the Asian Pacific Islanders Community. Fanny is devoted to serving underprivileged families and is capable of providing strategic and financial guidance to help achieve APAFSS's goals and mission. Prior to becoming the Executive Director, Fanny served on APAFSS's board of directors for six years. During that time, she has had the privilege of getting to know the organization, its dedicated staff, and the community APAFSS serves.Fanny serves as the Co-Chair of the API Health Parity Coalition (APIHPC). This role allows her to collaborate with various stakeholders to address health disparities and improve health outcomes for the Asian Pacific Islanders community. In 2024, Fanny assumed the role of Co-Chair for the San Francisco Health Improvement Partnership (SFHIP), further expanding her impact in promoting equitable and language access to enhance community health for underprivileged children, youths, and families. She is a member of the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office 2024 Asian American Community Advisory Board (SFDACAB) and the California Association of Food Banks Advisory Board (CAFB).In addition to her work at APAFSS, Fanny serves on various nonprofit boards, including Board Treasurer of the City of San Francisco Portsmouth Plaza Parking Corporation and Board Treasurer of Pacific Environment. She has also held significant positions such as Past Chairperson and current member of the Planning Commission at the City of Rohnert Park, Sonoma County. Fanny's enthusiasm and entrepreneurial spirit have enabled the organizations she serves to grow smartly and sustainably.Fanny earned a bachelor's degree in Business Administration at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and her Bachelor of Law at the University of London.
