The main objective of this position is to support the country and sub-regional office on land and water tenure issues through the following tasks: a) Drafting and preparation of a document highlighting experiences and successes in integrating water tenure into national and local multi-stakeholder platforms, with emphasis on the role of the Voluntary Guidelines for Responsible Governance of Tenure (VGGT).b) Development of detailed funding proposals, in collaboration with internal and external experts, to solicit financial support for scaling up activities on responsible governance of land and water tenure, which may include proposals to FAO country and regional offices, as well as to entities such as the Global Environment Facility (GEF), the Green Climate Fund (GCF), among others.c) Organization of meetings with technical and financial partners at national and sub-regional levels to discuss funding opportunities and explore strategies for strengthening efforts in the field of responsible governance of land and water tenure.d) Assistance in the preparation of regional webinars focusing on water tenure management, including content design, stakeholder coordination and technical logistics.e) Maintenance of FAO's active and ongoing participation in the World Bank/GIZ Land Projects Technical Committee, contributing to decision-making, exchange of expertise and monitoring of progress.f) Regular and proactive FAO participation in technical meetings associated with the national multi-stakeholder platform and local platforms, contributing to discussions and facilitating cooperation between the relevant stakeholders.

SLGA is starting to implement interventions at national level through "country components", to further support the implementation of the AU land agenda at member state level.

The main objective of the SRB project managed by FAO and IPAR is to support the effective implementation of the Voluntary Guidelines for Responsible Governance of Tenure Systems (VGGT) in the Senegal River Basin. The project operates in the four OMVS countries (Guinea, Mali, Mauritania and Senegal).The VGGT promotes responsible governance of land tenure, fisheries and forests in the context of national food security. Thus, this project aims to improve land governance through the construction of multi-stakeholder dialogue spaces at regional, national and local levels, as well as the facilitation of dialogues and exchanges between these three levels, thus creating a genuine land community in the region.My tasks include:a) Coordination of project activities;b) Preparation of final reports on activities, missions, etc ;c) Designing ToRs and memorandums of understanding;d) Follow-up and validation of contract activity reports; e) Contribution to donor reports.
