Ffar Fellow 2022-2025
CurrentThe Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research (FFAR) created a professional development Fellow Program to give career guidance to the future generations of food and agriculture scientists working on FFAR's challenge areas and strategic initiatives. I was selected to be part of the FFAR Fellowship since my Ph.D. work in peanut crop targets two of these challenge areas, the Next Generation Crops & the Health-Agriculture Nexus. My research as part of the Wild Peanut Lab at UGA will benefit the development of peanut-growing areas and the establishment of new job possibilities in such places, meeting the goals of the Next Generation Crops challenge area. Furthermore, it will contribute to meeting the world's expanding food demand while also ensuring food security, meeting the goals of the Health-Agriculture Nexus challenge area.
