Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), Charleston, SC - In the Mass Vehicle Integration Program for MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) vehicles. Upon notification that a vehicle is prepared for inspection, QC will proceed to the vehicle to perform their inspection. Inspector will perform a 100% inspection of installs performed by the production line. Verify that all installs are in compliance with the appropriate Technical Manuals and MVIP’s (Including correct hardware, completeness and cleanliness of the vehicle). Ensure that all Lean Six paperwork is complete and that all previous inspections have been completed. Record all deficiencies and provide the Section Lead with list of items which need repair/correction. Record time and numbers of faults found on the Quality Control Board and retain inspection list of faults to be entered into the faults and trend data base. When notified by Section Lead that all faults or discrepancies have been corrected the Quality Control Inspector will return to the vehicle to Re-Inspect. Once vehicle is determined to be ready by the Quality Control Inspector, the inspector will place the vehicle on the Government Quality Assurance board for Final Inspection. Review all MVIP’s for integration and investigate the necessity to forward the suggestion to the appropriate personnel for approval and signatures. Provide the QC Supervisor with any trends in the quality process so that the QC Supervisor may pass them on to Section Leads/Floor managers at daily meeting for dissemination and appropriate corrective actions. And assist Section Leads and Line Leads with Technical assistance as needed.
