Lamu Foundation is an indigenous Community based organization based in Lamu County, Coast region of Kenya with its head office at Lamu island along Kenyatta Road, behind Masjid Raudha.The Foundation forms the basis for networking with other civil society organisations both at the Local and international level to creat a resource centre and a forum platform for discussion; exchange ideas on problems affecting the community. In that attempt, the foundation is determined to creat an enabling environment in which people defined by the same cultural background will foster greater social cohesiveness, economic prosperity and political empowerment. For every effort, the foundation has presented a well organised structure for community engagement and leadership.
