Artist/Photographer represented by The Third Line Gallery in Dubai since 2006.Graduated from the American University of Sharjah with a degree in Visual Communication and has an MA in Communication Design/ Photography from Central Saint Martins in London.The first feature artist representing the UAE at the Venice Biennale 2008 with a photographic body of work titled Familial, which was a study of one-star hotels in Dubai & Sharjah. I have also taken part in the Sharjah Biennale 2008 with another photographic body of work titled Majlis, which documented Majlis’s or Formal/Informal sitting rooms in Dubai.Published a book on spatial studies titled "Presence" in 2008 which dealt with the notion of conservation and preservation of abandoned spaces in the UAE via photography. A traditional photographer at heart. I have been documenting interiors and facades in the UAE for over a decade via the medium of analogue photography.Have participated in various exhibitions and shows over the years, the last being the The Architecture of Absence December 2018 at Warehouse 421 in Abu Dhabi.Alongside photography, illustration, design and writing play an integral role in my life and compliment my artistic drive. Cinematography would be a wonderful extension to the visuals themes I have been exploring over the years thus would definitely a wonderful area to explore in the future.I am also the Creative Director at House of Fatam & Creative Director for Jeem-Jewelry a unique fashion and jewelry brand that I helped set up with my sisters back in 2011.
