I was the Communications and Administrative Coordinator at Living Wages for Families BC, an organization within Vancity Community Foundation, where they calculate the Living Wage within different regions within BC as well as Certify and recertify Employers that pay a Living Wage to their workers and contractors. As the communications coordinator, I primarily managed all 4 of our social media channels (Instagram, X, Facebook, and LinkedIn) as well as our website. Alongside that, I had been producing, overseeing, and creating the social media graphics, videos, collaborations, and any other content Living Wage had been releasing in the last 21 months. Additionally, my responsibilities included copywriting, blog writing, reviewing our analytics, and producing and running photo/video shoots in collaboration with Living Wage Employers, local small businesses, and other likeminded organizations. As the Administrative coordinator, my responsibilities included recertifying and certifying businesses and organizations that commit to paying a Living Wage to their staff and contractors, invoicing, mailing out deliverables, and responding to email and phone queries.

The Stitcher's CO-OP (formally known as the Vancouver Sewers Labour Union) is a unionized worker co-operative with a mission to transform labour practices for Sewers and Seamstress and produce waste-efficient local fashion wear.As one of the youngest board members, I support and supervise the management of 30+ worker collaborators in sewing production, quality assurance, and product creation. I have helped develop ongoing worker practices to ensure a productive, efficient, and equal workspace where an accurate living wage is enforced as a practical standard. I have assisted in facilitating monthly union and board meetings to discuss the quality of products, financial budgets, sewing practice and guidelines. My role allows me to provide and utilize supported guidance, inclusive language, and intercultural communication skills in challenging scenarios for sewers to create a positive and supported working environment where the quality of work is maintained at a high standard and the health and benefit of the workers are prioritized.

Assisted in teaching 100+ upper-year students as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for the course "Sociology of Sexuality", in the Department of Sociology, under the supervision of Dr. LJ Slovin. Course Concepts include, but are not restricted to, the study of sexuality, power systems and constructs, such as racism, classism, ableism, gender binary, settler colonialism, homonormativity, and systemic factors that shape our understandings of sexuality in North America.As a TA, I had been moderating ongoing lectures twice a week and facilitating course discussions. I alsoprovided clarifications and detailed explanations of course materials and concepts to ensure an improvement with the expected learning goals and maintained weekly drop-in office hours to do so.

As the Social Media and Marketing Coordinator at Love Intersections, I was able to increase our follower account by 15% and raise account engagement by 40%, generating over 11.7K in social media impressions, in my first month.I provided strategic, unique, and interactive media content from infographics, Instagram videos, professional images, and engaging Instagram stories to match the current trends and allow our content to gain recognition. I collaborated with over 30 scholars, local activists, and artists each season to curate several artistic posts each to promote a weekly virtual talk show, Hot Pot Talks. By facilitating a constant flow of promotional and interactive content, I was able to increase viewers by 19% for each season.

Love Intersections is a media arts collective focused on highlighting individuals apart of the LGBTQ+ community, Chinatown, and the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver, and their experiences with systematic racism through all art outlets.As a UBC practicum student for GRSJ 480, I assisted and supported in content creation, social media management, and project coordination at Love Intersections. I provided assistance on the first season of their virtual web series, Hot Pot Talks. I focused my work and skills to provide creative, interactive, and authentic content for all of their social media accounts as well as providing content planning for future projects. In my time, I was able to grow their social media following by 30%.
