In my most recent role, I was able to help facilitate a new working culture based upon my ability to optimally perform, practice patience, assertiveness, compassion, initiative, and leadership, ultimately leading by example. I was promoted to Field Trainer, and taught scanning fundamentals and techniques, equipment usage, protocols, and interpretations to new employees. I also tracked and reviewed current employees’ progress and consistency, performed echocardiograms, abdominal aorta, limited lower extremity, and carotid artery ultrasounds utilizing 2D imaging and Doppler modalities including spectral, color flow mapping, tissue, continuous and pulsed wave. Although I’m board certified in Adult Echocardiography with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, I am pursuing my vascular registry as well.
