-Communicated with past and current subscribers about their subscriptions-Created a social media campaign directed at college students for diversity in subscribers-Designed social media graphics, event posters and invitations using InDesign-Updated the database with new or changed subscriber, donor or volunteer information

-Working to better market future events, specifically a monthly event, to a younger generation; researching how to do; utilizing social media and email campaigns to reach the attention of said generation; implementing changes; assessing success and how to improve-Assisted in organizing a silent auction that raised $16,000 in an annual silent auction; more than doubling last year’s; coordinated attaining and organizing the donation items into 46 packages-Organized two major fundraisers (one formal, one informal); each for a different age group; saught out new and returning attendees; created event marketing material using InDesign; socialized with new, returning and potential donors during the events

-Copy-edited, revised, re-designed 500 pages of program information, cultural documentation etc.-4 press releases-Drafted content and images for 7-part marketing campaign; went out to list of 16,000 contacts-Curated alumni database of alumni testimonials

-Assisting with human rights research and advocacy projects-Supporting the coordination and publicity of events and programs-Expanding the Center's social media outreach-Providing administrative support for Center programs-Contributing written work for press releases, website, and Annual Review publications-Serving as liaison to UT undergraduate community and helping develop Center's undergraduate outreach-Assisting Center Administrator, Directors, Human Rights Scholars, graduate students, and affiliated faculty with other projects and tasks as assigned

I was in charge of social media including Facebook, Twitter and a blog. While I had assistance with Facebook and Twitter, the blog was completely my own responsibility and its purpose was to provide material to help anyone grieving. My responsibilities were to write at least 1 post a week, brainstorm ideas, find and schedule guest bloggers and, most importantly, research. I, of course, have not gone through every type of grief being experienced by the readers (i.e. Loss of a child as a mother or father, loss of parents, miscarriage, etc), so research was critical and extensive. I developed skills in leadership, working independently, group work, communicating with strangers, and researching topics I have never had experience with. Not to mention, the PR skills I developed. Additionally, for The Christi Center I led a social media campaign to win a city-wide contest amongst non-profits to generate donor feedback in order to win a large money prize. My work in this project included scheduling/planning the whole campaign months in advance, designing and writing all the material and implementing most of it (volunteers implemented parts like the phone call week). This was my first social media campaign and we ended up winning second place.
