I was selected as a member of Freshman Forum, a group of freshmen selected to participate in various civic engagement, community service, and professional development opportunities. Throughout our Freshman year, we meet weekly, working to complete a community outreach project.

I was accepted to the University Fellows Program at UA after an extensive interview process. This program focuses on leadership and service, and fostering positive change within our community.

Selected as the recipient of the highest scholarship given by the University of Alabama National Alumni Association for outstanding academic and extracurricular success throughout high school.

I was elected as the Youth Governor of Tennessee by over 700 delegates, after delivering speeches, participating in a Gubernatorial Debate, and campaigning. In this position, I lead a conference, giving many lengthy speeches and deciding which legislation passes into law. I was also given the opportunity to attended the National Governor’s Conference in Washington D.C. where I got to meet Governors from across the nation. We also met various politicians and staffers, and heard from them about their life in politics. The pinnacle of the conference was when we lobbied for bipartisan legislation to our representatives on the Hill. This taught me so much, allowing me to experience the ins and outs of working on Capitol Hill firsthand.

I served as Co-Commissioner of the Junior Board and Sergeant at Arms of the Senior Board.
