About Lanah Hewson

As Iron Age and Roman pottery specialist I am responsible for the identification, assessment, and interpretation of pottery recovered from excavations. I am also interested in Ceramic Building Materials (CBM) and have experience working with and reporting on these materials from excavations in the UK and Bosnia. Working with Cotswold Archaeology has allowed me to gain experience with a number of additional finds types including glass, flint, and other ceramic objects.My research interests include sustainability in archaeology; the theory of material studies and object biographies; data sustainability; and retention practices.
