I'm working on making a greater impact on the community. Why? My kids. I want them to be wonderful, dynamic people. I have to show them how. That means doing things like shaving my head for St. Baldrick's, starting a networking group that supports local non-profits, and telling people about my story. Why tell them about my story? It's about connection. I'm naturally an introvert, so by telling my stories or talking about what I'm learning, I find people to identify and connect with. I can't always do that in networking events where we all blend in and hand out our business cards.
