Managed a team of 6 Network Design Engineers, responsible for the architecture of all First American business units’ (including former CoreLogic businesses) network infrastructure. The design team was responsible to setting standards around industry best-practices and best-of-breed technologies to support the organization’s data transport requirements. Provided Tier-3 support for the NOC and Network Engineering teams during service-impacting events.Prior to the formation of the Network Design team in 2009, I supervised a team of 6 Network Engineers that managed over 1900 remote locations for over 50 First American business units (including former CoreLogic businesses). Formed the team after a consolidation of 4 other large IT departments into a single corporate entity. Wide Area Network sites include 1750 remote branch offices, 150 business partners and offshore locations located in India, Philippines, UK, Dominican Republic, El Salvador and Australia.

Duties consist of supporting and maintaining First American’s main Internet point of presence where firstam.com and corporate e-mail once resided (San Diego). Assisted in the expansion of FAID’s network infrastructure to 5 Data Center and 4 office locations. Provided assistance to other First American divisions when necessary.Assisted with the implementation of the formal firewall review and request process. Performed regular network scans, identifying vulnerabilities and assisting with the remediation of security related incidents. Established IPSec infrastructure which allowed external business units to securely connect to First American’s data network over the Internet.

Duties consist of maintaining and supporting the core infrastructure for Alitum’s corporate network and Alitum’s hosted application network at a co-location facility. Corporate network hardware consists of Cisco series routers, Cisco Catalyst series switches, Cisco Catalyst Layer 3 switches running HSRP and SonicWall firewalls. Colo network hardware consists of Compaq Proliant servers, Cisco Catalyst switches and Cisco PIX firewalls. Reconstructed both networks to include a more secure and high available design. Traveled to client sites to assist in installation and configuration of ASP customers. Assist Alitum employees with general networking issues.

Network Internship Project Leader responsibilities consisted of designing, administering and instructing network scenarios in a classroom environment. On-Call consultant for Executive 2000’s consulting division. Traveled to client sites and worked with the consulting team to accomplish challenging projects. Overall administration of Executive 2000’s technical department for both classroom and corporate units.
