Advised line of business, project management, and marketing teams by providing day-to-day compliance support while developing larger strategic initiatives deployed across the bank. Delivered daily review and oversight of marketing collateral, regulatory management, policy and procedure development and oversight, analysis of actual and emerging risks, issue management, and monitoring and risk remediation. Operated as the first point of contact with marketing and other departments across the bank regarding regulations—FTC requirements, CAN-SPAM, UDAAP, Regulation Z & DD, ECOA, FCRA, and consumer protection laws. ▪ Served as the lead compliance officer during a company rebranding, working with each department to approve and vet all documents, product rebranding, marketing tools, and website pages to help transition the bank from BBVA Compass to BBVA USA through the spring and summer of 2019.▪ Regulation E and CAN-SPAM Subject Matter Expert.▪ Advised various lines of business and project teams on legal and regulatory issues that impact new and existing bank products and processes. This includes reviewing and negotiating contracts, reviewing consumer-facing communications and marketing collateral, addressing specific consumer regulatory issues, as well as privacy matters including GDPR, CCPA, Reg P., and more.▪ Designed corporate compliance programs and standards, including the corporate Social Media Code of Conduct and information privacy guidelines for Compliance.
